‘Lightning in a bottle’ Picasso had his blue period. I on the other hand had my dark background still life floral period that came to a screeching halt after 9-11 when it became increasingly difficult to see beauty in darkness. To revisit 23yrs later has been a gift, with the focus not being the darkness, but rather the life emerging from it.
